VK Cour: Lila&John | Manchester Plage

LILA&JOHN and Vaartkapoen welcome you to a unique fashion experience at the Manchester Plage Festival on July 25th 2020

Brussels based fashion label LILA&JOHN joins forces with several artists and collaborators to create an inspiring evening that merges fashion with music, flavors and self expression into a vibrant experience.

The designer Lila John invited various artists to take inspiration from the current SS20 collection “It's not over, till it's over” and showcase their own view on it. This colorful and sensual unisex collection takes you on an imaginary trip to faraway tropical places. The resulting event will be an evening full of performance, music, ice cream and fashion.

MEET THE COLLABORATORS

The young and upcoming choreographers Mohamed Boujarra and Milø Slayers will present a fashion performance styled by Sophie Napen. The intervention is accompanied by a soundscape of DJ Raak Me Aan.

Antwerp based jewelry designer Viktoria von Malottki will present a small special edition custom-designed for the collection while cinematographer Enzo Smits will surprise with ice-cream flavors inspired by the colors and spirit of the designs.

The evening will feature a live set of Chibi Ichigo, the rising star of the Belgian hip hop scene.

You will be able to see, touch and try on the LILA&JOHN SS20 collection “It's not over, till it's over” in a small pop up shop that will be installed on location.

The entire event will be open air and take place in the courtyard of VK.

Due to Covid-19 regulations the capacity is limited to 200 seats.
